The MBHF&M chronicles the vision, tenacity and courage of the inductees for generations to come. Acquired papers and materials from the inductees and institutions will be part of a permanent collection housed at a historically Black College or University in the country. PepsiCo, Inc., the founding corporate sponsor has underwritten the last three induction ceremonies held at the Harvard Club in New York City. J. Frederick Canady, vice president, supplier diversity, PepsiCo, Inc., and board chairman of the MBHF&M will sponsor the event in January 2008 in New York City. Previous award winners included: Susan Au Allen, Hector Barreto Sr., Jesus Chavarria, Earl G. Graves Sr.; Dr. Renaldo Jensen, John H. Johnson, Reginald F. Lewis James H. Lowry, Wilma Mankiller, Harriet R. Michel, Parren J. Mitchell, Ernesta Procope, Robert Stuart, The Tuck School of Dartmouth and Abraham S. Venable.
