Minority Business Hall of Fame & Museum

The Minority Business Hall of Fame and Museum a non-profit organization, was founded in April 2004 through the collaborative efforts of John F. Robinson, president of the National Minority Business Council, Inc., New York; Don McKneely, president and publisher of the Business News Group; and Carol Daugherty Foster, editor of MBN USA, to spotlight the achievements of individuals and institutions who were pioneers in the development and growth of minority businesses globally.   The purpose of the MBHF&M is to preserve, recognize and educate society on the contribution of these individuals and institutions.

The MBHF&M chronicles the vision, tenacity and courage of the inductees for generations to come.   Acquired papers and materials from the inductees and institutions will be part of a permanent collection housed at a historically Black College or University in the country.

PepsiCo, Inc., the founding corporate sponsor has underwritten the last three induction ceremonies held at the Harvard Club in New York City.   J. Frederick Canady, vice president, supplier diversity, PepsiCo, Inc., and board chairman of the MBHF&M will sponsor the event in January 2008 in New York City.

Previous award winners included: Susan Au Allen, Hector Barreto Sr., Jesus Chavarria, Earl G. Graves Sr.; Dr. Renaldo Jensen, John H. Johnson, Reginald F. Lewis James H. Lowry, Wilma Mankiller, Harriet R. Michel, Parren J. Mitchell, Ernesta Procope, Robert Stuart, The Tuck School of Dartmouth and Abraham S. Venable.

We are pleased to present the recipients of the 2007 Minority Business Hall of Fame & Museum awards.
